🕰️ As we turned the clocks back and embrace the cozy vibes of fall, it’s the perfect opportunity to declutter and refresh your space! Here’s how to make the most of this seasonal clean-up:
1. Time for a Clean Sweep: Dive into your closets and say goodbye to old clothes that no longer spark joy. Donate what you can to make room for the new!
2. Medicine Makeover: Check your medicine cabinet! Discard expired medications and make sure you’re stocked up on essentials.
3. Fire Safety First: Don’t forget to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. It’s a quick task that could save lives!
4. Seasonal Serenity: Create a cozy atmosphere by refreshing your space. Rearranging furniture or adding seasonal decor can really transform your home.
📦️ So grab some boxes, turn up your favorite playlist, and make this fall cleaning a fun and rewarding adventure!
p.s. Don’t forget to turn your microwave clock back 😆

Back to School!
“Honey are you ready?”
“Hold on sweety, I have to finish my homework and upload the assignment”
Never thought this conversation would happen at the ripe age of 62!
I am often asked... “why did you decide to get your Masters Degree at 62?”… well, the story starts a few years… um decades.. ago.
I grew up in Ohio and my two best options were a small school like Bowling Green or the big daddy, Ohio State. Of course, I chose University of Akron - home of the Zips (mascot is a kangaroo.. don’t ask.. I have no clue).
To say I didn’t really embrace the University, or alumni, or any memory of it, is an understatement. I can’t even remember the “why” I made this decision. 🍻
I decided that if one day the stars aligned, then I would love to rewrite my college story.
So, here I am.. currently pursuing my Masters Degree at the University of Florida and although most of the program is online, I am diving in and enjoying the experience.
It is never too late to write a new story! 🎓

Post-Retirement Depression
Retirement is often portrayed as a time of freedom, but for some, it brings unexpected challenges like post-retirement depression. This emotional shift can leave you feeling lost, but understanding the causes and solutions can help. In this article, we’ll explore practical ways to overcome it and find purpose again.
Loss of Identity: Retirement often causes a sense of lost purpose, as many people tie their identity to their careers. Finding new hobbies or part-time work can restore this sense of value.
Reduced Social Interactions: The lack of daily contact with coworkers may lead to feelings of isolation. Staying connected through community groups or volunteering can help.
Physical Activity: Exercise has mental and physical benefits. Whether it’s walking, yoga, or swimming, staying active is key to maintaining overall wellness.
Seek Professional Help: Sometimes, therapy or counseling can offer guidance in navigating the emotional complexities of retirement.
Post-retirement depression is more common than you might think, but it’s not inevitable. By staying socially connected, finding new purposes, and prioritizing mental health, you can navigate this transition with ease. If you or someone you know is struggling, take action today to reclaim happiness.
